It is hoped TwitchyNoses can offer emergency short term fostering to dogs in need. This might be dogs on ‘death row’ in council pounds who’s time is up but need somewhere to go for a short time until a rescue placement can be found. Or it could be a rescue that need an emergency placement for a dog until they can sort out a new foster home. 

It may be we also take in longer term resident dogs, particularly old dogs to give them a safe place to call home for their remaining time. 

Currently a work in progress, the plan is to set up some nice large pens in the dog play barn. The side of the barn will be blocked up and windows put in for light and warmth. Heat lamps are also available for additional heating in the pens. The dogs will have access to the dog barn play area with sofas, a sandpit, tyre mountain and straw areas. 

There is a caravan that will be available to volunteers in the future and the dogs will have access to a large securely fenced field of around an acre. The field has 1.8 metre high horse fencing all around as well as a secondary stock fence with bushes in between. There is also access to another smaller secure outside area directly from the barn.
