Volunteering
Would you like to come and help at TwitchyNoses?
Currently we have a lot of building and ground work to do in order to be able to take in dogs and wildlife.
If you have skills in any of the following and would like to come and stay for a few days to a couple of weeks please get in touch:
- General block laying to block up side of the barn and other areas to make more secure for the dogs
- Roofing – we need to re-roof the other sheds with tin sheeting, mend the wooden cross beams and generally make sound
- Paving and landscaping – being in the Lake District we get a lot of rain! This means the outdoor areas easily turn to mud. We need to pave various sections and create paths.
- We want to create a wildlife and pond area away from the dogs.
- We want to create an outside shower room/toilet for volunteers in a stone shed so general building skills and plumbing.
We can offer accommodation in our volunteer caravan in the barn. There is possible parking for a small camper or its possible for you to stay in a guest bedroom. Food for meals will be provided/cooked and access to a shower-room/toilet and washing machine. There is good internet in the barn.
Please contact us via email using [email protected] to discuss further.
